Abstract: This research examines the impact of early childhood education (ECE) experiences on subsequent school engagement and academic achievement in Nigeria. The objective is to analyze how early educational foundations influence children's motivation, learning attitudes, and educational outcomes as they progress through formal schooling. A survey research design is utilized to gather retrospective data from adults who attended ECE programs in Nasarawa State. A purposive sample of 300 respondents is selected to represent diverse educational backgrounds and career trajectories. Findings indicate a positive correlation between quality ECE experiences, such as active learning environments, supportive teacher-student relationships, and later school engagement. Recommendations emphasize continuity in educational approaches, alignment of ECE and primary school curricula, and professional development for educators to sustain positive educational trajectories from early childhood to higher education.
